FAQ

What is the lightweight material in your glasses?
All of our models are lightweight and crafted from cellulose acetate, a natural and renewable material derived from cotton and wood pulp. While petroleum products can be more expensive and harmful to the environment, cellulose acetate is made from renewable materials.

Are your frames made from wood?
Our frames use a material called cellulose acetate, which is known for being strong, lightweight, and flexible. This is a natural and renewable material which has been shaped to create a wooden feel structure of our frames.

What are polarized lenses good for?
Polarized lenses are coated with a special chemical film that helps reduce glare. Glare is caused when light from the sun is reflected of water or a solid surface. By neutralizing glare, polarized lenses help you see objects more clearly and also help reduce the harmful effects of UV light. Our polarized lenses ensure the high level of clarity and comfort while protecting the eyes from overstrain, with 100 % UVA/B protection.

Why does the screen on my phone look different when I wear my glasses?
Polarized glasses have a built-in, laminated filter that permits only vertical light rays to pass through, and almost totally blocks horizontal rays to eliminate glares. This is most noticeable when boating or fishing, since you can suddenly see through the surface, which was previously clouded by the reflections from the sun and sky above.

Since head-up displays function by reflecting light horizontally off glass, polarized sunglasses can make these displays seem to shift in colures and sometimes disappear. LCD screens also use polarizing filters and can therefore switch in colour and sometimes go dark when seen through glasses polarized in the same orientation.

How do I keep my sunglasses in the best shape?
When not in use, keep your sunglasses in the customized case we designed and use the provided microfiber cleaning cloth for constant shining lenses.
